MAME is a wonderful thing. I've been playing the original Star Wars game. And Spy Hunter. And Discs of Tron.
Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

TETRIS.... by far the game I´ve spent the most time on ever! And if I do say so myself, I kick some major ass

If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."

Yeah, Tetris rocks. Did you know that Ericsson did chose Tetris in their phones (together with Pac-Man and one other classic game). It owns!
Someday, we'll look back on this, laugh nervously and change the subject.

Civilisation is old, but was not simple, but it was the BEST!

              I'm with az.
I think Keen 4 is the most fun computer game ever written.

PS My wife got so good at tetris that she could play infinitely.
If you played long enough the timer would
wrap and the game would slow down again.
              It was scary to watch.

OOPS....do you think they'll be corupted beyond hope in regards to society? LOL

That was a great one. I may have to install DOS and try it out again. On the other hand, the Bi-Plane part of Triple Action on the Intellivision was the game that stole the most hours of my youth.

amberstar was available for amiga too, and there was a sequel called ambermoon - pearl versand had it a year or so ago for -,99 DM

hope this helps, sadly i don't know more.. if you happen to find one of these two, please let me know

a little search using "amberstar" and "abandonware" might produce some reports too (i just don't know if this is legal, but since i don't think the game is on sale anymore it'd hurt nobody...)

i don't know if that's the game you were talking about.... try it and tell me.

                                <a href="http://www.geocities.com/spazm_c/amber.zip">amberstar</a>

Sorry the link doesn't seem to work but if you click on it and then remove the "http://" from the url bar and retry it it works... can't understand why it does that. If that doesn't work just tell me and i'll send it to u by mail... or create u a account on my ftp.

I've just played about 1min at amberstar... look's pretty good. I couldn't find how to close the game nor to save tho.

Does that game is supposed to have some music/sound effects... i had nothing when i played... maybe because my sblive doesn't work in dos. Is there any way i could make it work in dos?
