IE 6 beta, need d/l links for the full pack & looking for a good mail client
Already been there, let's you download the 4** kb setup.
Problem is that I don't want to go the Microsoft way of running it and downloading the rest of the files via the setup, I want the full pack, archived, if someone put it on the web.
As for the mail client, I have two accounts, one is set in Outlook Express and for the other I'm looking for a mail client.
Pegasus, Eudora... ? suggestions ?
I believe the Microsoft downloader will offer you the option to simply download the whole package, even including support for other flavors of Windows.
At least it was that way with IE55. I'm not excited about testing other people's pre-release software.
Yes it does, but it also does it (the downloading) through the setup and it's always been slow for me that way.
I'm looking if someone got them cabs and inis, put them all in one large zip file and dumped it on a server somewhere for download.
My favorite mail client (other than Pine, of course ) is Eudora. I find it very functional, reliable, and not filled with worthless features/gizmos. I use one of the early 4.x versions, and I prefer its plain/simple interface to the newer jazzier versions.
That's my $0.02.

Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow? But why put off until tomorrow what you can put off altogether?
I use Outlook XP. Of course, you can't really buy that yet. But before that I used Outlook 2000. It interfaces with my Palm Pilot, organizes my schedule and tasks, and gets my mail to boot.

I'm the least you could do, oh yeah
If only life were as easy as you
I would still get screwed
I installed Pegasus Mail (the download was 3mb less than Eudora ).
Guess I'll have to go the M$ way of downloading IE6 . At least it has that "partial" resume feature (a downloaded file is as good as downloaded, half a file is lost and gets it from the begining).
(Now wish me luck updating the video bios, hope I don't have to use the recovery disk )
