Who's the best Captain in Star Trek!!

What are you talking about Rock? That was the squeaky clean 60s.. Every time Kirk even got to kiss the girl Spock would call him on the intercom. (I think I would have locked Spock up first if I had been Kirk.)

Kirk gets my vote for Captain, but Picard would get my vote for President of the Federation. (Why are the upper brass always incompetent pudding heads in all the Star Treks? They need Picard to be promoted.)

Last year I would have voted for JLP as well, but now I've started watching Voyager and I have to vote for Janeway. She has the toughest job any of them ever had-- war is tough, but getting a mixed crew to safety without support, through unexplored <u>and</u> hostile territory (and keeping them sane while she does it) is even more challenging-- and she does an outstanding job at it.

I also admire the producers for continuing to deepen the meaning of the roles and responsibilities in their universe. I remember how amazed I was when the Maqui were created--- what, internal conflict in the Federation itself??? And they had a point??? That would have been impossible in TOS, as well as a captain like Sisko being a Bajoran religious leader as well as a Starfleet officer.

So I think Janeway is the best because the Roddenberry empire has gotten better at making captains more than any other reason.

Now if they could only make a decent Admiral...

Humbug! Kirk rules. Without him there wouldn't be anything like Picard or this wussy Janeway. And he got some decent support crew written into his book. I mean Kirk, Spock, Bones, Scotty - that's a crew. All super deranged space cowboys. Second line Sulu, Uhura and Checkow - wow. These people at least have had an accent! And who will ever forget the great scene "YOU ARE DEAD!" "AM I?" Almost Prisoner like.

Then take Picard... what does he have? Ryker? Puke. DATA "i want to be human, but i am just a cheesy looking machine"? Thank you, but no thanks. Worf? Sorry, culture shocked Klingons don't pull the sausage from my plate. Sisko only has this "look at our great morphing technology" Odo and wonderbra Kira. There is this symbiont with shizphrenia written all over it but at least we have the opportunity to discuss important social problems. And BTW, going skin with NYHC beard doesn't cut it, Sisko. Don't even mention the Voyager crew... throwing a ship 75 million lightyears through space and then this! More of the same, brrr. Add a stiff "who put the broomstick in my a$$?" Janeway and some "rebels" with silly tattoos and personality problems. A fish like alien with "hit me" written all over it and bad cuisine. Ahhhhh.
Well, enough ranting. This, of course, is meant as a joke but Kirk rules nontheless

Ha, almost forgot about the defective Borg in Voyager... silly me I love broken machines, that's why i watch the few snippets in SW1 (the original no.1, of course, with Darth Vader and co) in the Java tracked vehicle over and over again. Somehow reminds me of Techno discos.

What do i really feel? Not much. My head aches from time to time but my doctor told me it will go away - after the surgery. And did i mention that Kirk's duckwalk is supreme? I can figure what he is thinking: "Don't breathe, William, don't breathe".

I've always wondered why they could creat an android as complex and sophistacated as Data and couldn't quite get the skin-color thing right.
