  • Funny Error Message

Today I was working on an older ladies machine at the shop and was installing her new scanner software.

Norton AV Crashed as it was installing and I shut down the VS and killed the install.

Next I tried to install it with the AV off. And it popped up and Error box that said :

    --------------------------------------------------------
    ERROR
    --------------------------------------------------------

    Catastrophic Error

    --------------------------------------------------------

LOL.. I got a kick out of that.

(BTW I fixed the problem by calling her and asking if her computer "Stopped working alot and if she had to restart it to get it going right again" She said yes... I had a hunch... reseated the RAM and it ran fine after that... still... LOL... What an error message. )

BootMagic 2 gave me the following when I enterd the wrong serial # : The serial number you have enterd is incorrect! Would you like to continue the instalation? and gave me the options yes and no!

All PowerQuest programs do that. You can install Partition Magic 6.0 and put in random numbers, then say Yes.
