He was getting pissed because the forums were so dead- nobody was posting about much of anything other than arguments.

However, I think his self-expression has caused the problem to be fixed, if only for the current time.

I hate the mother******* idiots who persist in calling and asking if ther thunderstruck computer is finished 5 times a day, when I have already told them that the que is 20 computers long and their 2 year old pos IBM is'nt near the workshop...

Not to mention those ***holes who brings in a computers and says its dead, then wants me to give them and exact ETA and cost without me even taking a look under the hood.

And ofcourse the ****heads that thinks that they can slip past the que WITHOUT it costing them more!!!

And then we have the "Can't I watch when you repair my computer?" customers who think they are "Mister 20 questions"....

While Im at it I have to mention the idiot who claimed that Machintoshes are 10 times faster then the fastest PC...

Not to forget mister "Pentium 4":

P4 guy: Why are you not selling Pentiums 4's?

Me: You want to buy one?

                        P4 guy: No!

                        Me: Thats why..

P4 Guy: But they are so fast with rambus memmory!

Me: Mayby so but they are also twice as expensive.

                        P4 Guy: You'r lying!!

                        Me: I wich I were...

Technoid, that's easy to resolve... just tell them (the repeat complainers)that their computer will be worked on as soon as the others before them (however many) are addressed. That there isn't an eta and by them calling repeatedly is causing the time before it's looked at even longer because, like them, there are those others (however many) doing exactly the same thing they are. If they don't stop this pathetic cycle then theirs will be returned to the back of the pack on each occurance.

They'll either stop calling or complain about your additude to higher authority in an attempt to call your trump card. Address this to your superior(s) prior to implementing unless you already have power attorney.

                          Problem solved

                                Technoid...

Now I definately am sure I know how you feel.

Been there... done that... fielded those phone calls, Fixed that computer that was missing all the screws with the hard drive duct taped in place and a CD-ROM IDE cable that has been self modded by what looks to have been a butterknife into a round cable to allow better airflow from the one small fan that is so old and beat up its missing one fin and partially siezed with blown bearings that "Hasn't been altered since bought new 3 years ago." - forceing High Speed internet access into a 486 DX2-66, 540MB(with 40MB Free), 8MB Ram, All ISA, Single Speed CD ROM, Windows 95 First Edition Machine and being told that you didn't do it right because it doesn't go much faster than that primo 28.8 modem. The Guy with the Intel LX chipset board that wants 64-128 or 256 MB of PC133 put into it.... "What do you mean it won't work... it says in my really old manual that it supports SDRAM, I know it does you must not be doing it right" after spending an hour and a half trying every DRAM chip in stock from the 32MB to the 256MB you are pretty sure won't work. To the internet informed PC expert that is sure that the FCPGA chip will work in his LX/Older BX slot one board with the imitation 5 dollar discount non FCPGA compatible S370 adapter card and next time he comes in he wants a full refund because it doesn't work and blames you for peddling something useless (even though you repeatedly told him to let you try it out in his system to make sure it worked before he spent his money). To that person that gets pissed off for you not fixing a problem they never told you about, And the people with hundreds of MP3's they haven't taken the time to burn to CD and when their windows goes belly up without a chance of recovery they expect you to take a large portion of your time to try to save what you can and not have to pay for it because "It was just sitting there copying files" even though you aren't charging for most of the time you wasted on it.
