    Made myself a new case!

The old one was geting to easy to remove screws from
You could easy do it by hand

This was going to be a series of picturers step by step, but the camera batterys died

This is the result with all things added, notice the extra 3,5' bay thats screwed to the floor.

The hole that alows acces to the mounting holes on the extra drivebay was not present in my old case so I could only mount the hdds with 3 screws instead of 4....
    This is much better

I used a fan protector to get the screw holes right and the hole frontmost was made by folowing that fan protector.
The other holes was done by folowing a drawed line (much better but not perfect)
One fan to the HDD's, one to the GeForce (GayFart) 2 Pro, and one to the cpu.

    From the top:

Digidoc 5 with four fans administred.

    Sony CD-RW 8-4-32 (Who gives a **** about RW's?)
Pioneer 104 10/40 DVD slot in player region free (Hardly ever use it to read dvd's)
    FDD mitsumi????
    Powerbutton
    Powerlight
    Raid activity
    HDD activity
    Reset.

      I don't know....

They are controlled by the digidoc5 and only spin up one at a time and usualy only for 10-30 seconds.

The cpu fan has ben on for more time but that was during a quake match and I could only hear the shouts then and not the fan...

I'l check when i come home...

Got home, tested, not that loud....

        Hmmm..... 50db????

Does it sound like a Spitfire???
Can you register a "bootup" on the Richter scale?

        Jokes aside....
Looks like a cool runing solution....

Problem with too many fans is that you can't leave the machine running all night otherwise you get compliants about the noise.

Tell you what, I'l record the sound of all fans running and when they are not running.

And then you can decide yourself

Watch out! It's gonna take off! Partially a helicopter, partially a hot air baloon, this thing is insane.
Someday, we'll look back on this, laugh nervously and change the subject.

eYup... Wolfie (or Ish for short had posted pics of my G400 Max cooling setup on [VH]... and am on his webmaster mailing list. I have provided Ish with many tips, tricks and commentary on various cooling techniques/setups prior to them moving to their new site a couple of months back.

Where do you think these OCing nutz come up with their wacked cooling ideas anyway?

Dunno. In Technoid's case, he just got a bit carried away with the hole cutter.

                        I beg your pardon....

Me?? being caried away with a hole cutter???

Compared to modded cases that has 6 to 10 added holes I am moderat.!

Besides the fans are not running at all times....

And the holes are not prefect, I might add. Those ain't circles, those are potatos. That wasn't a cutter, you shot the damn holes right through with a large caliber gun!

Seriously though, I've never had enough courage to do something like that to my computer's case.

You are corect that the holes look like... well something...

But if I where to do those hole today they would be almost perfect circles....

besides a new case only cost me 12$

I adapted this for my case... The loudest thing there is my crappy coolermaster heatpipe.
