The headlines on our local newspaper reckon that Muslim extremists are trying to recruit students at Sheffield University plus other Universities during fresher week. I haven't seen this myself however the students are back in force next week.
The group doing this Al-Muhajiroun intend to setup an islamic state in the UK.
Unfortunatley I can remember being told this by an upset Muslim ten years ago. He also said that being politically correct was our greatess weakness.

These Muslim extremists are people who believe that the entire world should be under Islamic rule, since it is according to them the only true religion, and that they are justified in anything they do to achieve that goal.

According to them you are either a Muslim, a believer, or a non-Muslim, the enemy.

Here's the FBI definition of Terroism.

"Terrorism is the unlawful use of force or violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives."

I guess the real question is who determines what is "unlawful use of force or violence"?

These people fully believe that what they are doing is right by God who is the greatest authority of all.

It's funny when I used to recount the tale (Apart from now) of my Muslim friend I was always branded a racist.

As the Author into the now supressed report on the Bradford riots said the truth shouldn't be supressed for fear of being branded a racist. Or words to that effect.

The Police have investigated the claims of the paper and found them to be untrue thank god.
However one person I worked with overheard partly myself and a Friend discussing KvHagedorn post and got rather upset about it. So I'm not very popular at work at the moment. You know what they say when you listen in to someones elses conversation.

FYI only. I am not trying to make a statement.

The phrase "survival of the fittest" was coined by Herbert Spencer in a context of inner-social workings of a society in his several volumes long treatise on synthetic philosophy. Darwin spoke of "natural selection" and later adapted the "survival" part but not in his original book "Origin of the Species". He only started using the phrase in later editions of this book.

Just thought to try to clear up this misconception. For further reading on this matter i would like to recommend Spencer's "First Principles" and "Principles of Biology" which comes in 2 volumes. Also interesting for background is Lamarck`s "Philosophie zoologique" and the above mentioned Darwin, preferably early editions.

Somebody on the radio had an idea today.

He said that we should arm and aim a nuke at Mecca and be ready to fire it at a moments notice. We then tell them that the next act of terrorism on American property pulls the trigger.

I doubt that there would be anymore of this nonsense.
