A word of thanks

I just felt that a word of thanks needs to go out to our allies in England. Thanks for being the first to stand by our side on Sept 11. And thanks for standing by our side as we begin our attacks against bin laden and his lackies.

And thanks for always being at our side through the good and the bad. England has always been the one country we could depend on.

Tony Blair is the man. Unfortunately, he may be more popular in the US than in the UK.

I would hope our friends in the UK would lend him to us when they're done with him.

Although I didn`t vote for him, I think he is doing a better job than I thought he would.

I think most of us here in the UK feel completely allied to the States. It wouldn't be right if we didn't stand by you 100%.

Blair is indeed a statesman of international calibre. However, there was absolutely no competition at the last two general elections. A potato had more attraction and credibility than the opposition, IMHO. Just look at the majority.

I think things will get really interesting when attention switches back to Northern Ireland. I heard the tail end of something on Radio 4 last week that said that in a poll, 80% thought the IRA should be treated in the same way as Bin Laden. I wonder if Blair will be looking for more international cooperation on that front?
