Of course these days it's more like an FBI/CIA/NSA recruiting drive than an old-style hackers convention

Take a look at the internet "Traffic Analysis" chart!
According to the latest official figures, 43% of all statistics are totally worthless...

Nah, today it's more like the BSA nightmare Besides, I think today most of the people attending such parties are (l/g)amers... They know how to frag, but they don't know too much about the inner workings of their boxes. Of course there is the occasional demo coder or TCP/IP guru but most of them are there for the games - as well as the massive bandwidth for w*rez...

Traffic analysis chart? 500-800 Mbps... My ADSL could do that

The webcam is also nice and flashy

                  FAKTA/DreamHack
Det här behövs för att arrangera DreamHack i Tipshallen:
                  40 km nätverkskabel. (Network cable)
                  15 km skarvsladd. (Extension cable)
                  6 000 stolar. (Chairs)
                  2 km bord. (Table)
1,5 megawatt el (lika mycket som 25 000 glödlampor med 60 watt). (Electricity)
Dessutom säljs 40 000 burkar joltcola (en cola med mera koffein som gör att man håller sig vaken).

AH! Swedish! I can't read Swedish well. Too bad I'm 7500 km away.

I've seen pictures of Quakecon that rival this. THe last one was so big they held it in a basketball stadium.
