Huh they want you to stop using the car. The government transport policy is a farce.

Could be worse, the last train trip that I went on my wife and I
were in TWO train wrecks!
The first destroyed the train we were on when it left the tracks @ 80 Mph.
The second destroyed a truck & it's inattentive driver when our (different) train hit it @ 80Mph.
Not a very restfull vacation all around.

Wow, I've never met anyone who's been in one train wreck, let alone two on the same trip...Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. Bastard coated bastards with bastard filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive, bubble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine. -- Dr. Perry Cox

Two crunches in a day did you get a free ticket.
I've noticed that some people are calling for a days boycott of our crappy train service.

Hey TP - the fares are meant to be going down here in essex because our train service is so bad. Considering that on the C2C line here (fenchurch street misery line) most of the trains are cancelled due to staff shortages/walk outs/industrial action/leaves on the line/drivers who can't be bothered/whatever, I think the trains should be free! I can't see how they charge so much (about a tenner) to get from Southend to London... about 40 miles.

I am a naturaly early riser and was in the shower down stairs at 5:30 AM when we went off the tracks 100 miles east of LA going 80 mph.

We hit the truck 200 miles west of Chicago.

I see Tony Blair has got a good welcome back over the lack of proper public transport policy. Of course most of the ballsup was done by the Tory government by privatising everything. Since then it sucks so everyone has to use there car if they're not in walking distance.
