  • Cats or Dogs?

Just a curious question here...what do you like better? a Dog or a Cat or even both? Back before I met my GF I would have said a Dog..hands down. But once I started dating her and got to know her two cats I fell in love with them and we even got another cat . I never thought that I would like cats, but I like them as much as I do dogs now.

I found out that love her/mine cats because of what they do and I love my parents/my Dog because of what she does. One cant replace the other but I'm no longer a "Cat hater" LOL.

"I don't hate cats, I just prefer dogs". That was said in Meet the Parents, and it pretty much sums up how I feel.

I picked dogs. I used to have a cat, and I left it with my parents when I moved out. I loved it very much. I also never though much of dogs then either.

Since then I've married someone who is, like Dr Mordrid, very allergic to cats, so we got a dog (actually, we had 3 at one point), at her insistence of course. I used to think that while cats were fairly intelligent and self-sufficient, dogs were stupid as dirt. Not any more. In fact, I've come to the conclusion that dogs are a bit smarter, if less self-sufficient, than cats.

If not for my wife's allergy, I'd probably have said both though.

          I'm allergic to both.
One pub near me has a very fat cat any it decided to crush me one evening by sitting on my lap. Walking to the next pub I was told and old friend had got a brain tumor and the allergy had started my eyes running. I was upset but not to point of bursting into tears but they thought I was in tears.

          I prefer cats though.

              cats rule, dogs drool

no,seriously, I like cats alot more, but there is nothing wrong with a well behaved, clean dog either. I just don't like them as much.

I like them both. A little marinade, some black pepper...
Cat's are a little more sinew though.

A week after moving into my house a friend's friend delivered this 6 week old bundle of joy. She was small enough to fit into my hand and I fell in love with her immediately. I miss her when she is not around and I worry about her when I am away from home. Her name is Tabbs.

Like I said before, I like dogs. Here is a picture of my scrappy little puppy, Benji.

well, like the doc, BOTH of my roomies are allergic to cats, but have somehow slowly gotten used to mine and have no problems anymore. they also now love them to death (admittadly my gf more than the rave dj) but both still want a dog but won't get one cause of the amount of time required to keep them not depressed

i have one smart cat (can open doors etc)
and one really dumb cat (walks into walls)

How did you get your cat to open doors?
Can he open the knob-kind or just the lever-kind?
