Via arena think it's a swear word and blocks words like dicky. Now if your called Dick how would you like to be told you're a swear word. Can't they do anything right.

The same happened at Telekom (german's telephone company, the one that hinders fast and cheap internet most effectively here ).
They blocked user names that had e.g. the letter-combination "arsch" (german for backside) in them - it did not make all the Marschalls very happy to be told:
Hey, your name contains "arsch" and we will not allow swear words....
P.S.:
SIG: "Via or ATI which one makes buggier drivers"
This is an easy one to answer: Creative!Last edited by Indiana; 8 February 2002, 18:21.

No I think Via have trashed more systems than Creative have.

But not in the high-performance / high throughput vid-capturing "scene". There are lots of people with VIA systems that work fine (OK, not as fine as an old IntelBX, maybe - but then Intels newer chipsets are not as well as the BX, either).
But it's VERY seldom that you'll find someone with a Creative card that doesn't have problems with lots of dropped frames, video-audio desynchronization or various other problems (like non-working AC3-sound in Win2k/XP or speakers turning themselves off for no apparent reason).
