Nope.. Just used a pic... It's a pic that we at Tweakers use sometimes to mark that something or someone really needs some extra airholes.
Great for some extreme casemodding.

Looks like Telstra are up to their old tricks again.

Don't know if the story of the little boy dying after an asthma attack when the family phone was not working made if overseas or not.

Basically the family, who lived in a remote part of Victoria, had been having phone troubles for quite some time. Despite constantly hounding Telstra to get the phone fixed, nothing was done. The boy had an asthma attack and the mother couldn't call emergency services to get some help. The boy died as a consequence. Telstra later told the family that they qualified for a $30 refund because the fault wasn't fixed in the required time.

Yeah, that $30 is really gonna bring their son back, isn't it?!

I had heard in one news report (could be the one I linked to here) that the fault hadn't got fixed because the Telstra workers weren't willing to do overtime, or Telstra wasn't willing to pay them the overtime or something.

Hmm... just actually read through the first article in this thread and it refers to this story. Oh well. It was repeated on every news update here in Aus for about 3 days, so why can't it be repeated a few times here too.

Yeah but it hurts more..

Perhaps this is a good case for death by starvation and exposure in one of those tiny cages suspended over the town square..

Cerb, more likely they wern't willing to pay the Overtime. I used to work for NDC the contruction section, dealing mostly with with the high speed fibre links, OT would come and go, fortunetly it was rare we would have to deal with critical systems. but at that time we always had the leway for OT till the hospital or whatever was back on line.

But I also bailed about 6 months after Ziggy took the helm.

Nice to see no-one has any questions as to why I bailed though.
