Both Charles and Andrew were in the Navy. Eddie was too much of a wuss.
Oddly enough I the bloke I work with was in the Navy the same time as Andrew, and has some interesting stories to tell which I'm not sure I ought to repeat here at risk of libel vs MURC.
Basically, everyone thought Charles was a great bloke (officers and enlisted men) whereas everyone thought Andrew most definately wasnt.
Remember the Falklands war, when the Galahad was bombed and they showed a helicopter alledgedly flown by Prince Andrew hovering just above the deck trying to pick up survivors? Well apparently Andrew was grounded for the entire war by his C.O., so it wasnt him.
