The Banana Leaf Restaurant is very good. Actually, it's Malaysian, but is similar to Thai food. That place is maybe a little far from Intel (about 15 minutes?) -- located at McCarthy Ranch (highway 237 and 880).
My rig: P4 3.0GHz; Asus P4C800E; 1GB DDR 3200; AIW Radeon 9800 Pro; WD 120GB SATA; Plextor DVD burner; Liteon DVD reader; Audigy 2ZS; Logitech Z560 4.1; NEC FE991SB

Kid's rig: AMD XP 1600+; 512MB ram; GF4 Ti4600; Maxtor 60GB; Plextor CD burner; Sony DVD reader; SB Live; Cambridge 4.1 speakers; NEC FE991SB

      Other kid's rig: Athlon 2700+; ASUS A7N8X mobo; 512MB PC3200 ram; GF4 Ti4600; Maxtor 80GB; SB Live; Cambridge 2.1; NEC FE991SB; Liteon DVD-ROM

Hey Oboy, I don't know if KLA still does this or not, but for their training courses they used to take the students out for elaborate lunches each day and even a fancy dinner one of the nights. It was about 5 years ago that I attended it, so they probably don't do that anymore -- I think I gained 10 lbs that week!

I forgot about The Banana Leaf. It's very good but it always has huge lines. Let's go there!

              How's Tuesday look for Lunch??????

I have the car on Tuesday

Maybe we should go some where closer and a bit quicker than the Banana Leaf so Beezer can make it.....

Tuesday was the one day I was hoping you wouldn't pick, doh! I can go to lunch on Tuesday but I have a meeting from 1-2pm. I guess I could skip it next week Anywho, I was also going to offer to pick you up if you didn't have a car but I guess that's not a problem. Ok, let's plan for Tuesday. What time? And where are we meeting? BTW-My yahoo mail is about 12-18 hours behind so email me at XXXXXXXXXXX instead of you need to get a hold of me once you are here. I look forward to meeting you guys

I have a meeting from 10-12 and 1-2pm on Tuesday. I can probably leave the first meeting early and can "blow off" the second meeting. On Wednesday I have a meeting from 1-3pm that I can probably show up late to provided I'm not on the agenda in the beginning. So, I'm thinking Wednesday would probably be better for me.

I'm fine with where ever you guys choose for lunch. It'll take me about 20-25 minutes to get to the Intel site. Less time as we move north and east (I'll be coming from Fremont).

Actually, the Banana Leaf is closer for me, but farther for you. Where ever we choose, should get there before noon -- otherwise there will be a wait.

So, it sounds like Wednesday then

Let's decide on a place. Dave said he could pick me up if I don't have the car on Wednesday (sharing a car for this trip) and then the rest could meet at the restaurant instead of all of us meeting at Intel first.

What size Tee shirts do you guys wear?? Intel has the new Alien Logo out for the P4

xortam may join us as well.

                      This is COOL!!!!!!

                        I'm here.....BWHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

I was wondering why they keep the lights so dim in the office area here. Then I remembered the rolling brownouts last year and the comments about building FABS in 3rd World Countries......DOH!!!!!.....LOL

                            Sweet!

3 other MURCers! yes, I can pick you up on Wednesday Paul. Just email the address and tell me where outside you'll be and I'll be there. I do have a conference call on Wednesday from 10-?. They say 10-12 but it usually ends within an hour. So me picking you up depends on when the meeting ends. What is the earliest you an go to lunch? Like beezer said, best to get there early or it's a crazy madhouse of people!

                                OK Guys.....

I just talked to Helevitia and we should meet at the Banana Leaf tomorrow just before noon to beat the crowds.

Dave will pick me up so Beezer and xortam can just head straight for the restaurant.
