    The part that burns me is this:

    The driver of the tour bus said he didn't see her in time and was not charged.

    But friends believe the law should be changed.

    Barbara Culp, of the Bicycle Alliance, said: "We want to criminalise acts like the one that killed Susie.
    This woman runs into the street in front of a frickin bus, and they want the bus driver to be labeled a criminal? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
    Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. Bastard coated bastards with bastard filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive, bubble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine. -- Dr. Perry Cox

    I know, I read it at work. I wasnt sure wether to laugh at the absurdity of it or cry that someone could actually be that bloody stupid.

        Well, umm yeah actually in most countries there is already a law against J-walking.

          That bit of mental incompetancy is right up there with Sarah Brady, the blow-hard anti-gun advocate, admitting that she violated the very firearms law she helped push through the Congress when purchasing a Remington 30-06 rifle.

          For those that don't know a well set up 30-06 can hammer nails at long range and is very powerful. Much more so than single rounds from an AK-47 or M-16.

          She accomplished this little bit of hypocracy by purchasing the rifle for her son using her name & info for the mandatory criminal background check

                The US population is about 287 million, at least it was the last time I checked the US Census site.

                Yup....I now have an ECS K7S5A/AthlonXP 2000+ in the main system.

                This is because the P3B-F/PIII-850 setup could not meet the minimim speed specs for a new and unexpected toy that arrives this week;

                NO, I CAN'T TALK ABOUT IT!!

                NO, IT'S NOT FROM MGA OR PROMISE!!

                The ECS is, however, an intermim solution and will soon be replaced by a Tyan Tiger MPX dualie. It'll also be getting at least a gig of RAM at the same time.

                That said the ECS K7S5A is one nice board...especially considering its low price. For those on the cheap this is an excellent option as I can't see much of a performance difference between it and the AMD 760. It also (so far) appears to be very stable.

                The K7S5A I have has onboard LAN and audio that work pretty well, but the audio isn't even in the same time zone at the Santa Cruz (what general purpose audio board is?) so it got disabled.

                        Unlike some here I only update a system to;

                        1. get it ready for a new beta

                        2. provide a functional update that amounts to more than getting 2fps more in UT

                        I've stuck with the P3B-F's because they provided a VERY stable video editing platform. I also want to squeeze every $'s worth of use of of my editing setups before retiring them.

                        Things change, always do...and now need raw speed and stability. The ECS seems to have it for a single CPU and the Tiger MPX should for a dualie.
