    It was not THE worst 3d card out there.....
    If there's artificial intelligence, there's bound to be some artificial stupidity.

        If that card had better DirectX support and better drivers I'm sure most games would work with the M3D. That was it's main problem. But it came at a time when Voodoo2 reined supreme. (i think)

          Pretty much. Those were the dark ages of Matrox' driver support (unfortunately, the time most people outside of MURC seem to remember).

            i thought that powervr wrote the drivers for the m3d, not matrox.
