Yes, she was the only acceptable of the whole royal family. It's really a pity, even though not really unexpected.


But Guru has a point: with <10000 total users on this forum (including all those "expired", inactive and double registrations), and a really "active" user number that's most probably more in the hundreds (when looking at the currently active users, there's always the same names...), there is no way that this thread could possibly have got that many views - especially not in such a short time.
The view number is clearly false, but this doesn't necessarily imply that it was hacked. But then, if it's an error with the Forum, why is only this thread affected?
Other than that: why anyone would want to hack the views stats of this thread goes over my imagination...

While it's sad that the Queen Mum had to go and expire, it's about friggin' time.

She was nice (sorta), but the royals in general just have to go.

Maybe we could arrange for them all to just voluntarily cash it in? Sort of a "well, old chaps - let's do the world one last favor and drink this nice tasty hemlock, shall we?"

If we mix the hemlock with vodka maybe we could get the Kennedy family to join in. Then we'd be rid of a large group pretentious, larger-than-life morons from TWO countries.

But, to reiterate - sad that SHE had to die first. She was the nice one.

ok yes it may be sad that she has died but lets not keep giving her all this attention and press coverage. she lived to 100 + in the lap of luxury and was a member of the small minority who still believe in the ruling classes. why should she get special treatment just because she was fortunate to be born in to wealth and rule? i would much rather the thousands who die each day who were born with nothing and lived good lives and died with nothing to be remembered. what has she done apart from impose her freedom denying morals on the nation. we should seek to distance ourselves from this way of living in the world as it is immoral. i only hope she lived a decent life because after death money does not make a difference when you are judged.
i do not mean to offend people with this it is just my opinion i respect that others may think differently

I just cannot understand why you Brits are always whining about the royals. At least they were born and bred to show some class and have manners. We in America enrich people like Mike Tyson just because he's more subhuman and meaner than anyone else.
