My Aunt's got a hybrid car very nice.
You've got to admit if you look at the modern car progress on fuel consumption hasn't got very far. You would have thought that most cars would do 100mph to gallon now but nope you're lucky if you get between 40 and 50. Okay the odd car can do that but overall it's no go. Of course it's not in oil companies interest to make cars do a 100mph to the gallon or of course devolop alternative electric cars. Whats the likely hood in 20 years we're still using the good old petrol engine.

Unfortunately, higher than you might think. There's a lot of money behind the current system, and a lot of profit. Think of hemp. Why don't we use hemp for paper, instead of wood? It's cheaper, renewable, and better for the soil, but the loggers and DuPont would lose a lot of profits.

Doc: Close. Actually, we finished up a Lindy there. I do Jitterbug, Charleston, Lindy (mostly Savoy style), and I'm picking up balboa, shag, and boogie-woogie.

I was going to say fifty years but certainly we should be pushing higher mpg. Of course the good old cat doesn't help that strangles the engine quite a bit.
It would interesting to see what advances would happen if they limited formula's one fuel intake for example. X gallons allowed and one pit stop.

Those guys don't run on your gasoline though. And they're already trying to lean out the engine. Pit stops are costly enough for them.

I wouldn't have been able to tell what we were dancing from the pic Doc, we were in the middle of a finishing dip anyway.
