...but in either case one thing was certain - her slumber had been disturbed, and soon her wrath (such as it was) would be unleashed on an unsuspecting...

...power cord that fallen off the desk. The little grey obnoxious thing that had been sleeping after a day full of obsessively meowing at its master. It crouched up and lunged...

... house tremble on its foundation. The monitor started to flicker as smoke came out of the central unit...

and sparks began to fly from the keyboard and mouse. Mike kicked out reflexively, causing the cat to become airborne. In an improbable reversal of fortune, the cat, noting its inevitable meeting with the now-on-fire keyboard, managed to right itself, steer clear, and land on the rug instead - at which point it scampered under the bed and stayed there.

Meanwhile, inside Mike's head, the recurring dream that had been bugging him for months continued...

.....what is this Parhelia? It has been eatting at him for the past couple months...a google search turned up its an astronomical event, but what did it have to do with him?.....

..."Of course, no one can be told what the Parhelia is," Mike muttered. "You have to see it for yourself." Mike stopped and wondered how that question mysteriously popped into his head, and what it had to do with...

...the cat let out a blood curtling scream. Mike cursed the cursed cat and walked over the his smoking Cornerstone screen. He extingushed the flames on the keyboard and pulled out a spare. He tried to reply to the little white ant but...
