I'm not paranoid... who said that about me?

I scored "Low" clear across the board. However, it's tests like these that make me uncomfortable about Psychology.

Why?

Well, they ask questions like "do you dislike working with others, because you feel they will not work up to your standards?"

Well OF COURSE I FEEL THAT WAY.

I work in a field where I know the answers and the other people I work with do not. If you put me in a room full of other computer geeks, then SURE I could work with them. But let's face it, companies aren't structured like that unless they have a gajillion dollars.

There are lots of similar questions. You have to answer them "no", but you WANT to say "yes". And it isn't unreasonable.

"Do you have a high opinion of yourself?"

Well, DUH. Lots of people do. It makes them successful. When's the last time you heard about someone who became a multimillionaire and yet feels that they are just "an average guy"? And I'm not talking lottery winners, here.

This test was stupid. Sorry, it just was. I understand that SOME of the questions were valid, certainly. But others just weren't.

And it TOTALLY failed to address some of the things that ARE real problems that can be easily identified. It asked if I exhibit obsessive-compulsive behaviors. I said "yes", yet it failed to raise a warning flag.

OCD, or at least a mild form of it, runs in my family. I have to watch myself, lest I form compulsive habits. Did it ask any followups? Oh, no. But narcissism - yeah they're concerned about that.

Feh.
