A rule of thumb for me is to never go near an asian car...

German or Swedish, costs a little more but helluva lot better!!!

Yeah True... I'm a big Beemer fan... But for 1000 bucks Canadian I can't buy any kinda Beemer worth putting on the road without investing alot more money into it.

3-the 5th gear has absolutely no pickup power at all, you have to rev the crap out of it in 4th then shift to 5th to get some kind of accelleration (I know 5th is a cruzing gear, but not in my case)

4-The interior is poorly designed, I think the Japs need a lesson or two from the Germans and Italians big time!
I mean what the hell is the cup holder doing right in front of the stereo?????

        5-Hondas/Acuras rust like mad.

6- The Anti lock braking system is a joke, I'd be better off without it.

7-Which genius came up with the idea of putting the water pump right behind the timing belt?

OK now for the good things about Acuras.

        1-They handle great.

2-Extremely Reliable, just turn the key and drive.

Sorry that's all I can think of for now
        Negatives...

        1. They're designed for fuel efficiency, not raw power.

        2. That can be fixed, and they're not the only cars that burn oil when old. Some cars burn oil when new. Some old Hondas don't burn oil at all.

        3. See #1 and, as you stated, it's a cruising gear. Pickup in a gear is directly related to the gearing ratio, which is also very related to fuel economy.

        4. That's only on the older models, newer models (at least Accords) don't have the cupholder there...it seems as though they learned already?

        5. Any car rusts like mad when not properly taken care of. Honda isn't exactly known for its paint quality, though....

        6. True, true.

        7. I dunno...probably the same genius that causes it to fail every 100k miles.

        Positives.

        1. They really could learn more from the Germans or Italians on this one.

        2. True, true.

Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow? But why put off until tomorrow what you can put off altogether?
