Another shock result in the World Cup : USA 3 Portugal 2.

The US lads played very well, but I think the result was slightly flattering. Portugal's defense were non-existant and the rest of the team were all over the place. The late second half saw the Portugese turn on the style but they just couldnt apply the finishing touch.
You'd expect a team that contained the likes of Figo and Rui Costa to play slightly better.

So, are we now going to have a 'World Series of Soccer' in the USA?

Well if you can't play for the full game thats what you should get. Unless you're lucky and get a 1 - 1 draw like England. We can't play as badly against Argentinaas we did against Sweden can we?

Portugal played like shit and they deserved it. When you combine a coach that already has sported a major failure on Euro 1996 just because he and his brother own a company named "Olivedesportos" that monopolyzes the football TV in Portugal with a team full of "stars" that´s what you get.

Can't comment whether they were shit or not as I didn't see it but a couple of others that saw the first half said the same as you.
