Now.
Because I exist now, didn't exist in much of the past, and may not exist in the future.
Probably

I've always fancied the late '60s. Maybe not to live there, but at least to visit from about '68 to 71.
Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Cream and Hendrix as the soundtrack, and big muscle cars were approaching their peak.
Ah, to be cruising the desert highways in a 69 Mustang Boss with Cream on the 8-track.
I could live without CDs and Computers for a year or two, I think.Athlon XP-64/3200, 1gb PC3200, 512mb Radeon X1950Pro AGP, Dell 2005fwp, Logitech G5, IBM model M.

Dino 246-GT doing ~150 mph across the Nevada desert listening to Led Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love at full blast on a Blauplunkt
Beats the hell out of I-94 in Dearborn at 35 mph listening to Creed

I would say 16th century or even before that. Say sometime around 800 AD. I'm fascinated about the Middle Ages. It would have been cool just to travel to new places and explore for a lifetime. You just can't do that anymore (unless you go into space).System Specs:
Gigabyte 8INXP - Pentium 4 2.8@3.4 - 1GB Corsair 3200 XMS - Enermax 550W PSU - 2 80GB WDs 8MB cache in RAID 0 array - 36GB Seagate 15.3K SCSI boot drive - ATI AIW 9700 - M-Audio Revolution - 16x Pioneer DVD slot load - Lite-On 48x24x48x CD-RW - Logitech MX700 - Koolance PC2-601BW case - Cambridge MegaWorks 550s - Mitsubishi 2070SB 22" CRT

I'd like to see the face of the gas station attendant when one of those lands and gas up....If there's artificial intelligence, there's bound to be some artificial stupidity.
