ZokesPro was right, Jon P. Inghram was nowhere near the right answer and I think Jammrock know what I was refering to!
But remember I'm not going to be the one who posts it! (With the risk of being flamed [in the forum] and beat up [in real life]!)According to the latest official figures, 43% of all statistics are totally worthless...

Please tell us
I find it strange that sooo much is done manually... And isn't there such a thing as an automated testbed, where all boards go through POST just to ensure they work?

Ummm No most large scale manufactures usually only test a sample from each batch, if the failure rate is above a certain percent then they test the whole batch.
Same goes for tv's, vcr's etcJuu nin to iro
English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleys, knocks them over, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.

Well I'm assuming they're standing/sitting on anti-static mats, but even so, I'd prefer to see some proper anti-static precautions taken when handling sensitive electronics.
Its been nearly 10 years since I last worked close to an electronics production line, but IIRC anti-static wristraps were pretty much mandatory even with static mats on that line.Athlon XP-64/3200, 1gb PC3200, 512mb Radeon X1950Pro AGP, Dell 2005fwp, Logitech G5, IBM model M.
