Dr. Mordid, what is the substance called in those allegra's (and do you happen to know if they're receipt free here in germany)? Me and my GF take Cetiricin (I think), and it works, but not so great...

Allegra-D is 180 mg fexofenadine hydrochloride + 60 mg pseudoephedrine hydrochloride. Chemically fexofenadine is (±)-4-[1-hydroxy-4-[4-(hydroxydiphenylmethyl)-1-piperidinyl]-butyl]-a, a-dimethyl benzeneacetic acid hydrochloride.
Your Cetirizine hydrochloride is (±) - [2- [4- [ (4-chlorophenyl)phenylmethyl] -1- piperazinyl] ethoxy]acetic acid, dihydrochloride.
Dunno if Allegra is presecription free in Germany, but it's headed that way in the US.

Hopefully it'll be a little less expensive when it goes OTC. Right now my allergies arn't bothering me at all, although 50% of my brain is currently off-line due to the Benadryl I took a little while ago... snore...Comment

AZ: I gave it to you exact so you can look up what it's called in Germany. It might well have different generic and brand names there.
