    GT98,

    Is that Sis745 chipset on your Asus mobo giving you "da sweet lovin'".

    Do me a favor and bench you memory with the latest Sandra version and post your scores here:

    I'd love to see how it compares to my A7V333. I hear the Sis chipset has a higher bandwidth or sumthin'. Is that right?

    /Jake

        I would love to but right now with my Kingmax memory, Sandra gives me BSOD with a memory error...oh well so much for saving money. I have some good samsung PC2700 memory (should have listened to greebe ) coming in next week and its only going to be using 2 slots so I wont be dropped down to PC2100 levels (where I'm at now with using 3 sticks of DDR). Plus I need to do some overclocking too
        Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

                    I don't think I have ever even hinted a such a broad based assumption about you guys. Are there four or five of you that are extremely vocal and wave the Matrox flag like your life depended on it.....oh hell yes!

                    I can voice my own opinion without anyone putting words in my mouth Greebe. If you want to know what I think, drop me a mail and I will tell you, that way you can base your posts on facts when pertaining to me. Thanks.

                      Kyle I'd suggest watching what you say now before that whole can of worms is opened again. Accept the slamming you're getting and believe me this is extremely mild. Open mouth and insert foot you most certainly do not wear well.

                      If that seems to be a little cryptic, well it's intended to be that way because strangely enough I still do consider you a professional and a friend. Just let it go

                        Jake;

                        The SiS bandwidth advantage is discussed here;

                        It's not the kind of thing that shows on a synthetic benchmark. but it shows bigtime when you have high bandwidth devices in the system. With two such devices in my Gigabyte GA-7VRX system (VIA KT-333) they clash and cause all manner of problems. Put the same cards/memory/drives in the ECS K7S6A system and they play nicely. 'nuff said.
