I used to live in Montreal. It very easy to get frost bites in the winter there... don't think Ontario is as cold. Anyways, the Middle East is a little warmer... whatever way it can be interpreted.

Yeah, Canada is cold, brrrr. When my dad goes to Alert he says with the windchill factor it can get to -65C, and that will freeze you NAD's very quickly!
I used to work in Montreal. It's not the cold that bothers me as much as the slush on the streets. It gets brown and dirty and salty cause of all the calcium they put on the roads to prevent blackice.

Originally posted by Alice A with a little luck, you won't break your back bone on the ice hiding under that smooth, fluffy, reassuring layer of fresh snow.
Almost forgot about that! I sprained my lower back on one of those patches when I was a kid, hurt for years. Luckily that rollerblading helped put my lower back right back into shape!

Alice and I talk about the bad sides of snow and ice but when the roads are cleared and there's no ice on your car you can have lots of fun!
When I was younger me and my dad used to make snow forts! My dad was awesome at making snow forts, too bad I'm not young anymore. Good times!

I know what you mean... I obviously had good times too, but most of them are also linked to a special period of my life, when I was kid and I hadn't much worries beside coming home on time while having a lot of fun in the snow. There where also moments when I thought I didn't had anymore strenght. It was so cold and windy, the snow wips your face like sand. I have mixed feelings about the time I spent there...
It drains you a lot, especially it it's really cold outside.
But I'm used to the snow, it's always been a part of my life. But genereally when your younger you love the snow (snow storms can mean that school is closed!!!) but when your older it's not so much fun unless you own a snowboard!
