Other Hobbies

Ok Heres another question to get to know your fellow MURCers better...What other hobbies do you have besides your Computer? My Other passion is Scale Models...esp of Tanks. I love history and my Favorate era is WW2, so this is an offshoot of that and this lets me be creative at the same time. Heres a Photo:



If your wondering what that is..its M4A1(76) that was Commanded by a man Named Layfette Poole, which happend to be the highest scoring Tank "Ace" (had about 230 kills between the 3 Shermans shot out from under him) for the US Army in WW2.

The other things I do for fun besides the GF are Xbox gaming (I'm finding Bloodwake very addiciting, even though the story background is corny as all hell) and I've been getting in Home Theater a little bit, but ATM the lack of room is a bitch, but that will be fix in two weeks when I get my own place.

So what does everyone else do?

Mountain Climbing when I can get away, playing guitar/piano/trombone, my job at Fox 7 through SWT (Southwest Texas State Univ.) Broadcast (I interview bands for our college radio station which is REALLY fun), and playing at local gigs.

Dungeons & Dragons. (Any version)
Painting. (All sorts of stuff)
Making fanfiction comics (X-Man Fanfic, only 1 complete so far. Limited Edition Sold out ) That basically means, Write, Edit, Pencil, Ink and Colour a full 23 page comic.
Fortune Telling. (Eastern Arts only, haven't got to the Western styles yet)
Researching Chinese Medicine usage.
Comic collecting. (Anybody got a X-Men #1 12c 1963 Comic in a 9.5 condition or better on offer )

Well one year something ate all bar one of my Goldfish. Luckily for me they had bred before they got ate. The remaining one was too old and slow to eat the new ones. So I got a instant replacement. Unfortunaley most of them are white now.

- Writing sci-fi and comedy.
- RPGs (the games, not the rockets)
- Keeping old PC hardware in service long after sane people have thrown it out (2gb 2/3rd height SCSI II disks anyone?)

Hey no comic collectors??
I started collecting when I was 10years old and had to stop after the price of one comic cost more than I used to spend for a weeks worth of comics, also stopped after finding the right woman. (it was expensive to keep her but worth it of course )
Other hobbies:

Hockey, soccer and football ( playing and watching but mostly watching as now I have two small girls )

Mild Astronomy ( still in the binocular stage, but visit some search nights around the area )

Learning Photography because of the girls,
and finally got my Matrox marvel working to achive and edit my home videos ( whew its alot of work )

And coming here to learn and laugh with all you folks.

Oh I forgot to add,
I started a 10 gallon community fish tank last year and now I'm getting a 40gallon tank setup that will hold Rainbow fish, some platys and cory cats.
