What is it with the weather? Here in PA, after a week of disgusting humid weather, today I have all the AC's turned off, the windows open, and a clear nose. Bizarro.

Think it's pretty much like that all over. It's incredibly hot for a week, then you almost need to close the windows at night. the morning is cool, by afternoon it's 90 degrees, and then that night is a scorcer. Then another week of hot weather.


Anybody seen The Rain. Left town here a several weeks ago and never came back. Threatened to, but didn't.

We haven't had anything hot just mid seventies max this year. We may make 82 tomorrow. Tell you one thing though the sun doesn't half fry you these days.

We get about 3-4 days of hot & humid followed by a week or so of warm/cool with rain at the changeovers. Not a bad summer so far.

The only nasty part was earlier this week when our power went out for a whole day after a major thunderstorm that blew 50-60 mph winds our way.

My office has a newly installed Air Conditioning system, slimline units mounted in the ceiling, multiple zones with temperature and fan controllers for each zone. All the sensors and controlls are locked in a small cupboard around the corner next to the coffee machine.

With the advent of summer, the office is either 20 degrees C with the aircon blasting out icy air at hurricane force, or 26 degrees with the aircon gently pushing out warm, humid air and almost no breeze whatsoever.

If its hot we end up with so many fans running if someone sneezes the whole office gets sprayed with mucus.
If its cold I have to keep going and standing in the server room until my fingers defrost enough to work a keyboard.

Yestarday at work I spend most of the day in the switching room which has 2 air con units (redundancy) keeping the temp to a cool 19c

As I write 22.4C sunny and clear winds sw 6 -8 mph.
However I nudged my rain guage while cutting the grass and we've had now 0.2 mm of rain. Oops.
I've had to come becuase I was beginning to get burn't.

It's great! Nice hot weather for a change here. Found out one downside to my new car though - stuck on the north circular yesterday for hours + roof down + blazing sun = me sunburnt!

It's been seriously messed up here all summer too. Same thing as Strahd mentioned. We've had several days with 37+ weather (that's >100F). Mixed in with several days of 15-20 and raining. Very weird.

Too right! Just got back to London on Saturday from Chile (where it's winter), and the heat/humidity here is horrible!

Not looking forward to the rush-hour tube journey tomorrow!

Bollocks hottest day of the year 27c 81F nasty and humid. Very Hot and humid in the office got home and the room is nice and cool at 78f so how hot was it in the office.
The bad news is that I turned my Computers on and the temp went up by four degrees.

Ah oh for air con, had a little ride in my friends beetle today, outside temp said 32c, it was possitively chilly inside.
