  • Concerning General Hardware/Software About Sub Discussion

I'm not sure how many read it, but me and Greebe got into a discussion about a certain subwoofer, the HSU VTF-2. When I posted about it, Greebe decided to spout off and said it wasn't a true sub. I wondered why this was and did some research and could not find any reasons why (his reason was because he thought the sub didn't go down to 20Hz, learn to read Grubs). I came back citing specs to the sub and even making a discussion at AVS to possibly get more answers found here.

Well, I guess Grubs got mad and then deleted my posts and his, then said I claimed something else about the sub which of course I didn't. From the beginning I clearly stated that the sub could reach 25Hz at -1db and probably go to 20Hz and below at -3db.

It just saddens me that some moderators would stoop so low to make themselves look good instead of just sucking it up and saying they misread or misunderstood something. I dunno where Greebe got that I said the sub only went to 60Hz (and I have the discussion saved, no where do I say this). I just wish he would grow up and....well, act like a mod. Sorry for the post and all, but he's pissed me off and I had to get that off my chest.

Now, we are all setting up a LAN party at work, so I'm gonna go have some fun.

Christ, grow up and shut up already. Stop whining. You started deleting your own posts before Greebe even touched the thread.

No I didn't?? I never deleted one of my posts. Greebe deleted the whole thing. Oh well, most will take his side probably because he's the mod. But at least I know...

          I concur, Wombat.
There was no reason to start a crybaby thread in the soapbox.
If someone has an issue with another member (mod or not), he should have the balls to handle it privately in a PM instead of pissing and moaning publicly.
If it's that's too much to handle, post in the site feedback forum, or deal with Ant. There's no need for this crap here.

You're a fool and was sick of your BS, deceptions and misleading comments which were completely off base to which made all that was said by the both of us MOOT. The only thing you managed todo was derail the thread from it's orignal content.

Do it again and I'll do the same.

Have a happy stoned night gaming.

Hey maybe I should give you the opportunity to try kicking my arse again in UT (LOL like that'll happen

The fact is Greebe tried to put words in my mouth and change the whole thing around. That's why I am making it public. The fact that he acts like such a baby (and this isn't the only time) really pisses me off. I wish he would just grow up.

Funny...seems like that's what everyone else around here feels about you, and the fact that this thread even exists seems to give a lot of merit to those feelings.

Well it's about time someone has brought it up. I'm not the only one who thinks that Greebe has some problems...

I haven't said anything about his remarks towards me, etc, until now. I'm fed up with it. And what he just did really pissed me off. And trying to play it off as if I deleted my posts....

He explained why posts where deleted, and I agree with him.
You took someone elses thread, and completely side-tracked it and made it into a pissing match. Something I'm sure the thread originator did not appreciate.
I've done it myself in the past, and will do it again anytime someone trashes someone else's thread like you did.

Greebe, you know I never said the sub just went to 60Hz as you claim, and you sure as hell know I didn't delete any of my posts. And the thread never turned into some kind of pissing match. I gave specs, proof, and Greebe came back with insults and name calling. Wow, what a mod we have....

No it wasn't Greebe. I never called you any kind of name. You came back with dimwit, Buttman, and a few others. I only provided the facts and the specs to the sub, even asked you what you thought a true sub was and why the VTF-2 wasn't one. I even asked at AVS. I wasn't trying to piss on you Greebe, but wanted to know your logic in this. And clearly you were wrong with your statements. I don't care anymore though. It's obvious we won't know the truth because you went and deleted the whole thing after you found out you actually were wrong. Sad....
