When someone makes a comment about bad smell, there is a pretty nasty answer: "It's because your nose is close to your mouth."

        i agree.....

i know it would be futile to say wait for the next iteration of the parehlia since we all have been waiting for so long... and the economy sux that is true... but as Dogbert says ;venting your frustration is ok as long as you're not frustrating someone else.

Look, people have some thin skins recently. I, for example, am no more or less ascerbic than before. People are just more irked by it recently.

              Why is this? Thoughts:

              1. Parhelia, relatively speaking, is a big ol' disappointment. Will I buy one? Yes, yes I will. But it COULD have been so much more. And no, that's NOT speculation. TRUST me, it had the potential to be awesome, and instead is merely "good". This has upset a lot of old timers. After years of waiting, and months of saying "yeah, it's coming and it's gonna RULE" they are getting beat up about it and although that has quieted down it has left a bad taste in people's mouths.

              2. The economy was mentioned before. I for one am dealing ok with my utter unemployment. But many aren't. I know lots of people who have had salary cuts, and whose lives aren't all that hot right now due to the money situation. I'm not naming names, but it IS a factor in people's moods.

              3. Newbies = Arguments. Just the way the world works, people.

              4. It's summer. Summer = hot. Hot = uncomfortable. Uncomfortable = cranky.

I'm the least you could do
If only life were as easy as you
I'm the least you could do, oh yeah
If only life were as easy as you
              I would still get screwed

Lately the economy isn't shabby anywhere.
Even those who manage to keep their head above the water still have a hard time cause they have to watch over their expenses too.

An interesting thing though. Economy here sucks with bold capital letters. Still the most expensive restoraunts are working better than before. Are there so many rich people out there ?

There seem to be two answers to that -
                1. Yes, plain and simple.
                2. This one is a bit more complicated: When you owe the bank $ 1 - $ 20,000, you're so worried that you can't sleep at night. On the other hand, when you owe the bank $ 200,000 and more, it's your banker that has a hard time sleeping at night.

It's sick but true, good honest working people that lose their job, have a hard time. Shitty business people who lost millions and made many people lose their jobs keep having a great life.

It's nothing more than the recent influx of nVidiot newbies.

And if you think it's bad now, you haven't been around long enough.

Murc is a really nice place compared to the other forums I have visited around the net
If there's artificial intelligence, there's bound to be some artificial stupidity.
