And advertisers can use it to target you as you walk down the street. Saw this on Slashdot a little while ago. Still a very cool idea.. . . and convert it to an ultrasonic frequency that can be directed like a beam of light toward a target up to 100 yards away. Picture a car where parents can listen to the Eagles while their kids wild out to Eminem in the back seat. This is big audio dynamite—possibly . . . -

Yes, I completely agree with you...
But I don't think that the technology will be used for stuff like that... (I sure hope not; I think there will be attempts, but it will not prevail) It would be the same as having every coke-machine (or other machines) playing music, and this currently isn't done.

I gotta get one of these things. It could take playing pranks on people to a whole new level. See your buddy sitting talking to a girl across the way. You beam the sound of his cell phone ringing at him and he tries to answer it to find that nobody is there. Then you beam the sound of a gunshot into his head. He hits the dirt. Beam the sound of someone calling his name over and over and over. By the end of the date the girl would think he was mentally unstable.
The possibilities are endless.
