It was in the old forums, before they were hacked and people lost accounts (I was Cloudy back then, had fight s with 'father Joel' about the G200).

I'm referring to the constant battles he had with certain people around here. Despite him leaving some time ago, he is still something of a legend, and battles still rage elsewhere from time to time!

Maybe I'm too 'old' or maybe he simply isn't the stuff legends are made of, at least not in my case.

Those who could/should be legends happen to still roam around the forums (in no specific order): Gurm, Kruzin, ALBPM, Greebe, Wombat, Maggi, Dr Mordrid, Joel, KvH... I might have forgotten some1 but that's the bunch.

(I'm ignoring Ant cause hes the owner so it's too obvious)

I think Ant should change the status of the non moderators in this list to HardCore Murcers.
Those are they guys that really shaped the Murc community. (Some of them also received 'anonymous' threats lately )

If you're looking for battles, Greebe can get pretty (very) angry quite fast sometimes while for attitude you have Gurm

Jord and Holly are people I consider "friends". And yet I don't understand why they "left" MURC. All I know is that Jord has this disturbing tendency to rub people entirely the wrong way... and to be rubbed the wrong way by them.

It's as though he has a permanent abrasiveness filter up. And he is QUITE fluent in English, and yet seems to PURPOSELY misunderstand people on a regular basis.

Basically, he let it get too personal and got too fed up. And left.

I don't think Holly ever left, per se. She's just been super-duper busy learning Dutch and doing the whole "naturalization" thing. I don't even see her on ICQ any more. *shrug*
