Job Title: Helpdesk Support Technician
Type of Position: Full Time
Description: Liaising with customers in the UK and across Europe who are using/installing Matrox video products, this role is responsible for providing after sales technical support. Working as part of a team you will act as first point of contact answering telephone, e-mail, snail mail and web queries from customers at a post-sales level. Working closely with the European sales teams, you will ensure that effective channel support occurs.
Qualification: Highly Desirable/Mandatory · Well-educated (minimum good A' level or HND) in a science related discipline, preferably computer or engineering or related. · Knowledge of the installation of computer peripherals and PC architecture. · Fluent in French and/or German. · Articulate and numerate. Desirable /Beneficial · Multi-lingual with emphasis on other European languages. · Knowledge of video editing, graphics creation, animation and composition. · Live or willing to relocate within reasonable distance from the Stoke Poges Office. Personal Qualities · Strong 'Business Minded' personality. · Customer and results orientated/relationship builder. · Strong presentation skills and excellent communicator at all levels. · Confident, highly motivated self-starter able to work in a small team with minimal supervision. · Flexible, ambitious, entrepreneurial, open to new ideas and a lateral thinker. · Strong team player, mentor and 'ideas driver' within their own team.
