        Ahhhh... The memories of childhood..

There's a new Transformers on Cartoon Network now, though I forget the proper name (Transformers something : 1 word after the original name). It seems to have some of the original characters, but reworked a bit in appearance (Since when was Prime a Firetruck?), and of course, with some of those annoying CGI scenes. And yes, there have been several series, along with different sets of bots for each series (also set in several time periods- for instance, the one with the Predicons is a sequel where the next generation of bots has time-traveled to prehistoric earth, where the crashed Autobots spaceship is discovered, and they set to protecting it- the Decept- or Predicons are trying to destroy it, basically eliminating their past enemies before they have a chance to set the future into motion..)

Some of the ideas for these series are interesting, to say the least, though the execution leaves a bit to be desired.

I'm eagerly awaiting a G.I.Joe rebirth now, with new series/episodes and characters.

While it is true, Transformers did come back as other types, IE Beast Wars, etc. these were not the original transformers and IMHO were not very good. I agree, the movie was where it went downhill.

Transformers: Armada. I watched the first episode at a friend's house. It sucks. Majorly. It's proper title would be Transformers: Pokemon. There's little robots that are like power amplifiers, and the transformers are fighting over them, "gotta collect 'em all" style. It's over-animed, and the kids are extremely annoying. I'm also dismayed that it seems that ALL of the Transformers that will be on the show can merge to form megabots - even Optimus.

Thanks Wombat. That's the show I was talking about. And watching it, a strong anime approach has been applied. Maybe this was thought to give it a chance against all the new Saturday morning anime type cartoons out now? (Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh [or something to that effect], etc.).
