  • Are we the 51st State?

When do we get a star? Where will the star fit on the flag?

I've seen on ebay a U.S flag with 53 start once

...the UK star will probably be out there in the waves of the red and white...
How can you possibly take anything seriously?
      Who cares?

...but then Scotland, Ireland and Wales will probably want their own star, or secede from the Union. The queen might want a crown figure on the top of the flagpole, and Guiness would like to replace all the stars with Guiness badges...

Which doesn't seem like a bad idea at all...!

No. But saying that, I am wondering 'when are we supposed to become *real* members of the EU'!

Any chance of one of the budding graphics designers here coming up with a new US flag combining all the suggestions from the previous posts.

Sorry, I think Canada is the 51st state. Or at least that is what we call Canada here. The UK might make 52nd or 53rd, depending how much we piss Mexico off.

DC is probably going for "51st".

I saw this cartoon in the papers the other day which depicts the following:

George William Bush dressed up like DonQuixote charging on windmills (Says Iraq on them), while Tony Blair rides an ass behind him playing the role of Sancho Pansa.

It's a good film though. Well if you like Samuel L Jackson in a skirt...

The Presidents whole name is George Walker Bush.

His dad was George Herbert Walker Bush.

Most likely 51st state: Puerto Rico or the US Virgin Islands.

After that: we're waiting for Canada to implode

If/when that occurs the US would probably get most of the provinces as individual states, save for Quebec & who here would want to deal with that can of worms?

My guess the first to apply would be Altberta.
