Wasn't sarcasm at all. Now of course I know you are all thinking, he wouldn't like it if it happend to him. And that's true, my feelings on subject only pertain to a situation where I am completely removed from those involved.

Now, my views on this subject, as well as many others, are very different than what most would call "normal." I understand this, and I usually keep my views to myself. I don't know why I felt like sharing here, I just thought the thread needed a point of view from someone with a different perception of things.

Going back to my original post, I prize happiness above all other things. If money makes you happy, go get money, either by hard work, theft, whatever. If it makes you happy to control people's lives, go become someone boss, or whatever it takes to put you in control. I am VERY selfish in my views, I understand this, but knowing I'm selfish doesn't change the way I think about things.

This I don't agree with at all. But that's understandable as I'm sure your views of freedom and mine are completely different. Also, your ideas of happiness are probably much different from mine as well. As for being a slave, if being a slave were to make me happy, then I really wouldn't mind the label.

Go to a shrink so that he might "fix" me? I have the self control to not act on things that society deems unacceptable, so what's the problem. I understand the difference between right and wrong, and I act within the restrictions of 'right.' If I do something wrong, I know what I have done is wrong, and I know certain repurcussions may follow, and I accept that. I guess I just fail to see a problem with how I think, but I suspect we all think that way about ourselves.

You know, I value happiness very high, too. And if someone really would be happy being a slave, being tortured or even killed, that's fine with me - as long as they find someone they can live that with (provided they don't like being all alone also). You can do all you want, as long as you don't hurt other people (or animals, IMHO). Sure, someone will always feel "hurt" if you, for instance, utter a point of view they don't like, but that's not what I meant. I think you get what I want to say, common sense should tell you where the boundary is.

If it is your desire to hurt other people, you may of course do that TO PEOPLE WHO WANT TO BE HURT. But I serieously think there would be something wrong with both of you. But as long as you don't involve other people, it's OK. (Though I don't share your POV, obviously)

I understand that you don't want to go to a shrink to be "fixed", nobody would want to be brainwashed, and that's obviously what you fear. But you absolutely have to understand that your thoughts are not normal (With which I don't mean they don't concur with the norm, with the way most other people think, because, seriously, the majority of mankind - me included - is screwed up somehow), they are againt nature, if you understand me. It's good that you think you can control yourself (And I don't say you can't), but the fact that you HAVE to control yourself is very worrying, isn't it?

Man I really don't know what to say here. For someone to believe that it is OK for someone to go on a murdering spree because that what makes him happy...

That's probably what is the most wrong in this world today. The idea that as long as one number is happy then it doesn't matter if anyone else is hurt in the process.

Sure everyone has a right to be happy but to violate someone else's happiness in the process, then that is something that I can not endorse. But like you said as long as it doesn't effect you...

You post clearly shows that you don't know the differance between right and wrong.
If you went out and I pulled you arms and legs off smiling happily while I did it and I clearly enjoyed it would you care about it? I think you would and you if have got the correct marbles up above you would think it was wrong as well.

Being open and honest is actually something that I strive for in my daily life. Unfortunately I don't always meet my goals of being open, but I am ALWAYS honest.
My point is, being open and honest about what you think is OK when 99% of society thinks it is NOT OK, is what I am talking about. As everyone has already stated, being HAPPY is a goal that everyone wants to attain. You can be happy without commiting crimes. If you can't, well then you are going to have a hard time living in this world. I hipe for all of our sakes that you don't commit a crime just to make you happy.
