You guys could be making that most of that up for all I know!

I have three modes for the morning commute (when not in the current hospital visiting mode):

Clear head: Radio 4's The Today Programme
    Tired: Classic FM
Hung Over: Radio 2 (Terry Wogan)

On the way home: Radio 4 again, depending on the time.

We have a good (funny) local radio breakfast programme, but he makes 30 minutes of material fill 3 hours, so I've heard enough before leaving the house.

Well, my job with FOX 7 for SWT allows me to go to clubs and do interviews with the bands playing there. I probably do 2 a week. I've met a lot of them, and for some I get to hang out with them while they're in Austin for exclusives (such as traveling with them, staying at hotel, etc, which was the case for Sum 41, but I actually know one of them pretty well anyway). It's a nice job, but it demands a lot of attention and time.

Listening to Bamby Molesters ATM (Croatian Surf Instrumental group - similiar to Dick Dale - they are on teh intarweb) I also like Santana and J. Carlos Joabim Song Book (Girl of Ipanema) CD while I work.

Indiana - Come go with me by Dion and the Belmonts
Is this a mistake or did they cover it. AFAIK the original was by del Vikings. In the still of the Night by Dion&B. is great (the Cole Porter piece not the one from Dirty Dancing)

Needles and Pins - Smokie. Wasn't this by Seekers or is there a version I don't know. Ramones also did a very good cover (one of best songs recorded by Ramones IMO)

Tainted love - I have this great rockabilly version by Lucky Cupids.

mine is the contents of one hard disc on random about 5000 tracks in all - i got fed up with changing CD's so a couple of years ago started to put all on in mp3. Its a bit wacky when listening to a Doves track then being assaulted by L7 - its fun though.

I know that it's not the original, but I like the Dion version much more than the original (that I don't even have).

It was done originally by the Searchers. Again, I like the Smokie-version better (I have both).

Don't know this version. Is this the original? But then Tainted love by SoftCell was one of THE hymns of the 80ies and I don't think you can do it much better - just different, maybe.

BTW, this was just the current mp3-CD with random-play on, and this damn RealONe Player got it all confused, having some titles more than once in the list . It really is an awful piece of bloatware-crap, fisrt time I've tried it, but no, thank you.

My full mp3-list is much longer of course - and then I've only mp3'ed a small fraction of my CDs until now.

Depends on the place and band. Usually for most local bands, it takes 15 minutes for me and the other person with the camera (we switch roles every other week) to get together and then 20 minutes to drive into Austin. We usually hang out at the place for 3 hours or so, sometimes we get drunk, sometimes we just do the job (depends on the day and our mood), and then we go back to SWT and that's it. Next day or so I'll edit the footage and finalize it, which takes anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. That's a normal one, but for the exclusives, which are few but fun, it's almost like some kind of road trip, but not leaving Austin. But this week is a bit dry so we didn't even do one. Dunno about next week yet.
