... the normal time for a woman to give birth is 9 months, but most of the time, the baby comes out before that... one or 2 weeks before is normal. My nephew was born a week over the 9 months... which might explain why he's quite a big boy.

How many more weeks over 40? I was under the impression that the longest the doctors would let the pregnancy go would be just 41 weeks. At 41 weeks, they would induce the pregnancy. Let's face it, maybe the baby is just hairy.

Labor was going to be induced on Monday. We was born Sunday.
He must have suspected they where about to kick him out one way or the other, so he came out by himself.
In the UK they let you go to 42 weeks with daily monitoring to ensure all is still well. Charlotte was due to induced on the Wednesday of the second week overdue and delivered naturally at 2:13am of that morning, with lots of hair . Today is her first Birthday!!

While we are on the subject, Adam (born 15/9/2) finally came home from Hospital . Mom & baby doing very well now. The piccie is from yesterday, just after I bathed him.
