My wifes computer started to fail (pIII 450) so as an anniversary present I thought I would surprise her with a better one. So I hunted about and found an office clearance place which had a PIII 733 PC for sale for £200 - she doesnt play games and uses email word etc. So it arrived whilst I was at work and when I got home found it had two 9gig IBM scsi hard discs, it is a dual motherboard and has 1/2 a gig or rambus memory and a dual board Wildcat 4000 CAD graphics thingy. pretty cool for a clearout - anyone else had dealing with these sort of places before.

Need to get a g400 as she wants 2 monitors but I was astounded when i got home.....

Yeah I've seen those places before. Half the time their "techs" don't know their ass from their elbow, and wouldn't know a duallie if it came up and bit them on the ass. They just fire it up, make sure it works, and sell it. Note that they paid next to nothing for it, so 90% of the price is profit.
