...remember the guy in Tasmania, the one in the tower some years ago, a number of others?

They cut loose for a few hours in an orgy of killing, with some demented version of Rambo's all night rampage, some twistedl, imagined or obscure justification in their head.

This guy near DC is taking his time, savouring every step of the way, thoroughly getting back for some torment of his own.

Say his father gave him what his father felt he was dished out, now this guy thinks he's giving back what he was dished out, and you want him to get back what he's dishing out, only worse.

Since there are now 2 reports of multiple suspects in a white vehicle speeding from the scene of a shooting I'd say the possibility that we're dealing with a team has gone up significantly.

IMO this reduces the likelihood of the "single nut" scenario and increases the possibility that this is terrorism.

That no claim of responsibilty has been made, as is the case with terrorist attacks of the past, just shows that they've been studying their psychology. Uncertainty of who/what/why causes more fear than certainty of the same.
