...well, I think we have been through all this a number of times before. The point is to bring the whole oil story into balance from all sources, whereby nobody can dominate and nobody goes hungry. And eventually get away from oil as an energy source, before we all suffocate.

There are many elements in play. One important one is that many Arab sons are getting their education in the US and UK. If they are treated like human beings, their day will come too when they go back home.

Some years ago, by fluke, I spent time both socially and business with Yamini (sp?) the Saudi oil minister. An educated, intelligent and peace loving man. I also knew the Saudi water minister, a different story. I met a lot of Saudis, both despicable and good people. Just like us. My father headed the construction of a city for 250,000 at Dahran in the 70's. He wrote the only book on Bedouin arts and crafts. He moved freely throughout the ME including Isreal. There is respect, communication and friendship between people in all ME countries, the political level is another story, but has it's points too. There are bad Arabs and there are warm, generous and good Arabs too. Just like everywhere.

So the sooner we stop painting things good and evil, right and wrong, the sooner we'll get out of this mess. It is a mess, but only a mess to clean up.

...somebody sent that to me in an e-mail some time ago.

AMOCOble is supposed to be a phonetic for AMICABLE, in other words a friendly solution.

        ...yeah well...

Just for the record, Afghanistan "supposed" terrorism war was planned a long time before October 2001. USA putted another puppet there (Karzai) which was an ex- Bush employee in one of his oil companie years ago...... Talk about "freedom" for Afghans , etc....
Look at the USA foreign policy since 30 years ago and try to find a true free leader among Honduras, Nicaragua, Chile, Guatemala, Colombia, Saudi arabia, Pakistan etc and you'll find out that all these guys were putted there via "CIA/USA military" putschs or co-opt... Same will happen in Irak...... and who will be next??

Time is for the ppls to stand and fight for real freedom...

...well, that's nothing new. Other countries do the same, and far worse, they're just better at hiding it.

It's just simple greed, part of human nature that only evolution and God will ever change...

And what would you suggest? I find it so interesting that you and people like yourself, who live in very socialistically represssive countries, can come in here and find it so easy to criticize others but yet offer no real suggestions of how to change things.

...c'mon Luc, you are playing the same game, just from the other side. You make some noise, get some attention, make a few points, but that's all.

If you really want to do something, try to resolve the issues, unite the sides and sit down together and eat.

Anybody can bitch, accuse and froth, but very few can resolve anything...
