Yeah but it can get colder, in fact I remember some pretty cold winters (for Florida), as in below 40 F.

I'd be more "worried" about all those lovely t-storms and water spouts (almost as much fun as the tornadoes I get out here now) and the occassional hurricane (move to Tampa, never gets hit).

        If you noticed

        <----

I live in Bradenton... just south of Tampa Bay and know what winters are like here.. all two weeks of it.

Know Hurricanes as I was right where hurricane Hugo hit back in '89 twas in the "Eye of the Storm"... in my car! (safer than the house which blew apart)

Growing up and living in the Midwest I know all about Tornados (Xenia anyone?)

Lived in the U.P. of Michigan and know what cold is all about having worked in -85f temps during the three years I was there (anyone up for some frost bite?)

Yeah I noticed, as you could probably guess I'm from Tampa I've lived in about as many places too (military brat).

Was down near Homestead when the hurricane hit there, was not a very fun experience all in all. Although I didn't get to experience it in a car of all places

Can't say I've ever been anywhere that it got down to -85 F, -40 F yes, but not any further. It's relatively moderate out here in Oklahoma. Funny, Stillwater is alot like Tampa in that nothing ever seems to hit us all that hard... maybe it's just my presence
