Gurm, I'm sorry to hear that you are sick, really. I have a suggestion for you. Lethal dose of Vitamin C is about 23,000 milligrams, please do not take anywhere near that amount. I was going to suggest that you take 2000 mg a day, chewable is preferred, with lots of water. Normal water intake per day is supposed to be 96 oz of water per day. I would say at least a gallon a day which is 128 ounces which is not much more. The more water the better, but don't drink alot of water before going to bed. If within the first couple of days you don't notice a difference up the amount by 1000. For your kid, depending on the age, you can get the vitamin C kids drops at walgreen's, those are yummy but expensive. I would start off with 100 mg and work up from there. If your kid is over 13 then start him/her off with 500 mg and work up from there. Vitamin C doesn't always work for some people, other vitamins are needed with the vitamin C. If you don't feel a change, 1 multi-vitamin a day should do the trick. If you don't like vitamins, then I can suggest eating alot of oranges and drinking alot of orange juice and the same as the water, a gallon a day.

Other than that, here's to hoping you feel alot better.

Gurm, sorry u got all this.

Coupla years back, I had some probs (nothing serious) and dealing with it taught me a few things:
          1. Therapy is GR8! really. Course, I was done quickly (5 sessions). DOn;t get into any psychoanalytical stuff though. SHop around and ask friends. If you do not like the therapist, find another one, not a prob (just make sure it's noit because you don;t like what u get confronted with)
          2. I used to have a lot of fatique problems couple of years back. Two things did help a lot. (a) Excersize: start slowly, u do not need to gain 2 punds of muscle a day or anything. Just get that blood streaming a bit faster twice a week., and (b) something they call "Royal Gelly"over here. It's honey that is eaten by the Queen of a bee hive. Often taken together with Ginseng.

At least it worked for me.... Hope you get well soon.

BTW, wife was ill today, so I took care of our 1.5 year old kid amongst others.... I am sooooo tired now...

            Yeah. Kids are draining.

And I know I need to get more exercise.

Anyway, I went to see the doctor today - we're doing stool samples, and I'm seeing a Gastroenterologist on Thursday for an initial consult.

And I'll be finding a counselor soon.

            Everyone keep your fingers crossed.

P.S. Doctor also took me off milk products, on the off chance I have mild lactose intolerance. If I _do_ have a parasite, no point in FEEDING the little ****ers.

When I read your first post all I could think of was OMG, he is "burned out"...

All those symptoms you have can be related to it... If it is to much stress then a councellor can help you.

Well, all I hope is that you get well.

Well, I followed all the complex directions, filled the little cups with p00p (loads of fun, let me tell ya), and now I guess it's time to wait a couple days for the results.

Did you screw the tops on properly, and not fill the cups too full?

I have a friend who works in a lab testing various "samples" and she gets REALLY pissed off if you don't make her job easy...

Yes. I'm a good little doobie. Only filled to the line, marked and labeled with "type" and "consistency" (ugh), tops screwed on tightly, mixed well.

Ok, well... I turned in my little samples yesterday. I won't know until tomorrow if they show anything, and I'm going away for the weekend on Friday - so if the doctor DOES start me on something (antibiotics, anti-parasitics, whatever) I'll be taking it in MA, and I'll have some help with Logan. Yay!

Anyway, yesterday afternoon I felt GREAT. Managed to take a half-nap (you know, you're half-asleep for the better part of an hour) which felt good even if I knew it wasn't real sleep. Went to visit friends for dinner, and I was HUNGRY. Being hungry is unusual for me (I've lost 25 pounds in two months over this illness).

This morning I sort of went back to sleep after Julie left for work. Put Logan back to bed (he woke up when she did) after his bottle, and again half-slept for the better part of an hour (had a dream, so must have slept a LITTLE at least).

Eyes are still super messed up this morning, although they were much better last night...

Got the car back, haven't paid for it yet... hehe. Not looking forward to that.

Anyway, I still feel under-the-weather this morning, and my eyes are bugging out, but I'm not as nauseous as I was this time yesterday, so that's SOMETHING anyway.

Be careful with those stool samples.. My uncle was taking my aunt's urine sample to the doctor one time and stopped at the store on the way. Somebody stole the paper sack with the sample out of the front seat while he was in there.
