    The Apple

Do we ever wonder about the apple? Lets explain the basics of fruit. Take a bite out of an apple and what do you get? If you chew it, you spend hours upon hours of picking your teeth, and the sound that it makes. Come on, you would wake up half of your class during a lecture, the taste isn't bad, and some are delicious, but if you Bite into a strawberry, kiwi, orange, pear, cherry, tangerine, mango, honey dew melon, canteloupe, watermelon, plum, blueberry, raspberry, grape, huckleberry, passion fruit, banana, necterine, papaya fruit, mulberry, peaches, prunes, grapefruit, pineapple, boisenberry, lemon, or lime, They just don't have the Astetic sound that an apple makes. Unless we bake it, of course, but to pluck a fresh apple out of the tree and take a big healthy bite, causes the most irratating sound a person can make. So take my word and Chew into a fresh apple and drive everyone insane, and with the best healing properties of all the fruits, what do you have to lose, your hearing?

Ok, this isn't a poem, but its cute.

      Problems:

Mango would leave your hands dirty and if you eat all of it, you'll have "hair" caught in your mouth.

Oranges and the like sometimes squirt when you peel them, not too enjoyable to get it in the eye, not to mention the smell they leave on your hands.

I personally can't touch peaches and some other fruits with this 'short hair' on them. Can't touch velvet either, it drives me nuts.

Anyway, some fruits can be 'worse' than an apple

Oh FYI, anyone going into publishing a poem and have gone to www.poetry.com to submit your poems there. DON'T!
I submitted one of my poems and was sent an invitation to be given the 2002 poet of the year award. Hey I was extremely excited, there is a 25,000 dollar cash prize, trip to las vegas, medals, plaques, the whole works. After roughly 2 seconds I came back to reality and started a search on poetry.com, who runs it, owns it, background company check, the works. It didn't take long to find well over 10,000 sites with complaints and grievances against this well established society. I found an article on the 20/20 website where they sent 30 6th graders poems in and all the kids received the same invitation I have. I've wrote numerous e-mails requesting more information into why I being the winner of the 2002 poet of the year would have to pay for plane ticket, ticket into the convention, hotel accomodations, food, you name it, all the expenses. Needless to say, I have hired a lawyer to investigate this further. I may be screwed as to the rights to my poem and I do not want to see anyone get the 25,000 inch screw like I have.

Peace Out. Make Peace NOT WAR!!!!
