Ranma 1/2 is pretty good, hard to get your hands on but good!
Neon Genesis Evnagelion is cool too.
Akira is awesome, but most people don't understand it. I did the first time I watched it.
There's also this ****ed up anime too, it has the word Blue in the title but I can't remembe the name. Anyways, when I find it I'll let you know, that anime movie was AWESOME!!!
Update:The movie title I was looking for is "Perfect Blue". Gotta watch it, it's a little disturbing, but it's good!

I second that, Perfect Blue is very cool. Akira I don't get at all (hence IMHO it blows - sorry Zokes).
I've got Lain, Blue Submarine 6, Niea Under 7 and half of Noir sitting around as Divxs, and they all look very cool, but I haven't had time to give them more than a cursory glance yet. Maybe I should just take a weekend to lock myself away, disconnect the phone, and watch them all...Blah blah blah nick blah blah confusion, blah blah blah blah frog.Comment

Actually Akira's new release is much more understandable.
I was lucky enough to watch it with a Japanese speaker the first time around, so I got running commentary as well as a more accurate interpretation than the crappy subtitles they had in the 80's.
