Still got you beat, Doc! My PR is 365 lbs...in high school Haven't worked out since college, so I probably couldn't do much more than 270 lbs anymore...damn I need more free time and weight bench.
Congrats on the new PR! I hope I'm that strong when I'm in my 50's.

Due to new laws in Sweden my 76 year old grandfather had to buy a special weapons locker for his rifles (You do not want to be an elk when he is about at hunting season )....
It weighted in at about 750lbs
The delivery man hadn’t been able to help him (said he had back problems ) So my grandfather heaved it in himself
He used a line and tackle to "pull" it up the stairs and then he did as Heyerdahl to get it the last meters
When my Father asked him why he hadn't phoned him for help he just answered
"Why?, it wasn't heavy"

Jeremy Clarkson "806 brake horsepower..and that on that limp wrist faerie liquid the Americans call petrol, if you run it on the more explosive jungle juice we have in Europe you'd be getting 850 brake horsepower..."
He was smaller than average for our family; only 5'7" and 175 lbs, but during the winter when the farm wasn't active he worked at a local industrial railroads RIP track facility (aka: repair track).
This is a place where the nuts holding things together are at least several inches in diameter and the air wrenchs have a 3.5" square drive
He was one strong old man
BTW: one of my favorite big game rifles is a .50 caliber (12.7mm) Hawken buffalo rifle that shoots a 500 grain lead/antimony long sabot, 325-400 grain bullets or 180 grain round balls.
Walnut stock, 28" barrel, solid/polished brass fittings, a case hardened percussion lock with coil springs & dual-set triggers and a military-style high elevation peep sight.
Kills on one end; maims on the other and damned accurate.
Greebe should post a link to the MPEG he as showing how hard this kind of weapon kicks

I used to be able to do the whole stack on the leg press on the universal machine at college.. with great ease, as a matter of fact. I could peg out the squat machine (hydra-gym) at 1500 lbs momentarily. Haven't done much working out lately, but manhandling 450 lb 65" TVs doesn't seem to be a problem.
I can't even begin to try leg presses because of a nerve injury in my right leg, but when I played high school football (American football played by 200-350+ lb farm boys; not that cheesy-girly running-around thing Europeans play ) we were required to do at least 1000 lb leg presses to even be on the team.
I *think* the current US high school record for leg presses is about 1500 lbs.

I used to leg press more than our machine could hold, but my legs are gargantuan. During my American football playing days My thighs were about 1 meter (39") around and my calves were 66 cm (26"). I estimated that each leg weighed about 34 kg (75 lbs). My official playing weight was 315 lbs (143 kg).
Needless to say, the smaller 220 lbs (100 kg) offensive linemen had a hard time stopping me.
Ah, but those were the old days. Now most of my muscle is mush. Need to find a way to workout again...

My personal best was twice my body weight (160 lbs. at the time), since then I've lost weight (30 lbs) and haven't worked out in about a year...I really need to make time for that again, maybe once I get to university...

When I graduated I was the smallest defensive lineman on the team (tackle). The tackle on the other side of our starting line was 6' 9" and 325 pounds (205.74 cm, 147.42 kg) (age: 16).
The biggest kid on our team was our center: 6' 7" 410 pounds (198.12 cm, 185.98 kg) (also age 16).
They grow 'em big down on the farm
