That is not "off-road"
its on "old gravel roads"

My main opposition to trucks and SUVs comes from the fact that it puts the US in a position to be dependent on countries we really don't like.....

THIS company that produces compressed-powered cars is more up my alley...

I'll chime in here too

I just lifted my Toyota 4-Runner.
Bilstein shocks and new coils all around from H&R Racing.

I got 2.5 inches lift with this combo. Now I have room for some real off road tires.

Before

After

So, I now have a Japanese vehicle with a German suspension.
Bilsteins are the Greatest!!!!!!

I won't put anything but Bilsteins on my trucks anymore.

Aren't you afraid of getting your truck dirty Paul?

Nope!!! I just clean it real good afterwards....

I also found the best car polish I've ever used.

Zaino Bros

It's a Polymer based polish which is about the only kind that will hold up in New Mexico's intense sun. The carnuba based polishes only last a couple weeks out here.

My 4-Runner has a clear coat on it so I used the Z1, Z5, Z2 and the Z6 between coats of Z5 and the Z2.

The Z6 if applied after the final polishing acts like RainX for dirt and dust. Nothing sticks to this finish.

Zaino only takes mail orders but they are fast. I snail mailed my order form on a Monday and recieved my order via UPS the next Monday.

My wifes white truck shines so much it hurts your eyes to look at without sunglasses.

Great looking trucks!

Mine acutally lifts about 2" when put into 4wd lo - no need for a lift kit.

Lincoln Navigator- air suspension.
Gas mileage sucks tho- 13 mpg/17 litres per 100km.
6000 lbs curb weight, 5.4l 300 hp, 360 ft-lbs torque.
Started out looking at smaller vehicles- but this was the only one I could fit my family and DOG cage. I keep telling the wife I bought this one for the dog.
Yeah, well I'm gonna build my own lunar space lander! With blackjack aaaaannd Hookers! Actually, forget the space lander, and the blackjack. Ahhhh forget the whole thing!

And if you do it right using untaxed agricultural diesel it's much cheaper

Most people with 4x4's here in the UK think off-road means 'in the driveway'

Hehe, this wasn't "my thing" but among other strange things I got to drive these in the military: The number in the bumper reports car width in metres...

Well, it might be because of my biased european taste, but THIS is a 4WD:

Nuno, that's not a 4WD, that's an urban blight. Companies like BMW and Porche make great cars, but their "SUVs" are just jacked up cars for soccer moms. Nobody that owns one of them will ever take them off-road, so it's an even bigger waste of gas and threat to my life than usual.
