Ant - I hope these questions are not too indicreet, but how much do the forums cost per month/year and what did you have to pay for the forum software ?

I don`t have a clue about these costs - therefore I am interested.

In total the hosting will cost me around $2000 a year I reckon depends on the bandwidth we consume which I won't be certain on for a while, GA would never provide me with server logs so I never knew before. The forum software was $160.

That's down to Ant to decide. I've given him a couple of ideas, any ideas you have would be great.

There's 8000 members now, If everyone (say 2000 still half-active members) gave $1 Ant wouldn't have to pay out of his own pocket then, would he?

SteveC - I was thinking about the same. But the problem is how to collect the money respectively how to send the money to him.

If I do an international money transaction, I have to pay $25 just as a bank fee.

Well, if you guys work out a way how to support Ant & MURC, i`m sure all of us would gladly donate a certain amount of ... whatever ... to help the site and the Forums going.

BTW Ant, i`m really lost for words ... i have never met a guy who spends $2000 a year and has no ( material ) gain from it ... guys like you restore the faith in humanity in me ... and i`m NOT joking, i am dead serious. I don`t know what to say ... thank you ...

Hmm...pretty fast here! The new layout looks good I guess, but will be hard to get used to (all the buttons and the date are at the bottom of the posts, instead of at the top, where they used to be). Now, I have to figure out this vB code...
